David Goldberg
David Goldberg began his career in 1969 at the American Broadcasting Company working on productions for the news, sports and entertainment divisions. In 1974 he was promoted to production Executive for ABC entertainment where he worked on projects in the Soviet Union as well as a wide range of entertainment programs.
For six years during this period he developed and supervised the Barbara Walters Specials, which were taped on location throughout the United States, in Europe and the Middle East. On this award winning series, he began a collaboration with Don Mischer that has continued for almost thirty years.
In 1982, David became Executive Vice President of Don Mischer Productions and for the next 23 years he and Don produced more than 100 television specials and live events including The Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Salt Lake Winter and Atlanta Summer Olympics, The Hong Kong 1997 Spectacular, and the opening ceremony of the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai, China.
David Goldberg has also served as an advisor to the International Olympic Committee for the ceremonies of the Beijing 2008 and Vancouver 2010 Olympics as well as advising the Athens Olympic Organizing Committee on their ceremonies and executive producing Medals Plaza for the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games. He has received four Primetime Emmy Awards.
