Liu Heung Shing
Liu Heung Shing is Senior Advisor to Modern Media Group in China. He was the Director of Business Development for Time Warner Inc. (1997-2000) in China as well as the Executive Vice President of News Corp (China) from 2000-2006. As a foreign correspondent/photojournalist, he was posted from 1978 to China, the US, India, South Korea, and the former Soviet Union in a span of 20 years. In 1992, Liu shared the Pulitzer Prize and the Overseas Press Club Award for his coverage of the collapse of the Soviet Union. Liu is the author of the widely acclaimed "China After Mao" (Penguin,1983), "Soviet Union: Collapse of an Empire" (Associated Press,1993)and his latest book, "China, Portrait of a country" (Taschen, July.2008). In 2004, Paris Photo named Liu as one of 100 most influential people in contemporary photography.
